Position SummaryThe Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) will provide clinical services to clients in need of mental health treatment. The LISW will work under the supervision of the Clinical Director and provide individual and group counseling to clients as well as assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans. The LISW will also maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and communicate regularly with interdisciplinary team members. This position does require evenings, weekends, holidays and on call time. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Conduct mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plansProvide individual and group counseling sessions to clientsAssist in crisis intervention services and make appropriate referrals when necessaryCollaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated careMaintain timely and accurate documentation of client progress and treatmentAttend regular clinical supervision meetingsStay up-to-date with relevant ethical and legal regulations and participate in ongoing professional development opportunitiesParticipate in team meetings, in-service trainings, and other agency activities as requestedAre accessible on-site or face-to-face via interactive videoconferencing based on the youth's clinical and/or medical needs. Available twenty-four hours a day and seven days a weekOther duties as assigned by the Clinical DirectorOther duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, Master's Degree preferred.Active license as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or above in the state of Ohio.Minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health counselingAbility to work effectively with clients from diverse backgroundsKnowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for mental health disordersStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team membersAbility to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal regulations Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
