Job SummaryDMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiological exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment.Key Responsibilities:

• Verify patient identity and review patient's medical record for appropriateness of exam or procedure.
• Interview patient to obtain, verify or update medical history and assess risk factors such as medications, pregnancy and/or psychological indicators.
• Explain procedure to patient, including side effects of pharmaceuticals administered, risks, benefits, alternatives and follow-up.
• Set up equipment and acquire appropriate images as per script.
• Review images, make initial observations, document exceptions from established protocols and communicate data to radiologist.
• Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as appropriate.
• Provide physician-prescribed post care instructions to patients.
• Participate in process improvement activities within radiology practice including but not limited to quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis and patient satisfaction.
• Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists and new employees.Requirements:
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography (R).
