We are actively seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join and
grow in the PPG organization. The CNC Machinist will set up and
operate 3,4, and 5 axis CNC machinery according to specifications.
This role will be responsible for performing precision machining
processes and maintaining tight tolerance thresholds.

- Perform machine setups using a setup sheet or written work
instruction
- Load and touch off tools both manually and using a tool
setter
- Prioritize work as appropriate for shop schedule
- Utilize measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gage block/pin,
etc.) to check / inspect own work
- Perform on demand machine adjustments to ensure machining and
tolerance requirements are met
- Identify and change appropriate tools as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Advanced understanding of geometric dimensioning and
tolerancing
- Machine to blueprint specifications and quality standards
- Maintain clean and organized workspace
- Follow all internal quality standards as instructed
- Share knowledge and ideas to improve cycle times
- Communicate with team members regarding progress, schedule, and
quality
- Follow all safety guidelines
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical training / schooling preferred, but not required
- Minimum of 3 years' experience setting up, adjusting, and
operating CNC machinery
- Ability and willingness to work under minimal supervision and
maintain schedule
- Ability to perform basic to moderately difficult shop math
- Ability to machine to tight tolerance specifications
- Understanding of industry quality standards and requirements
(FOD, Air worthiness, etc.)
- Willingness to train less experienced staff as
neededCompensation
- Compensation for this role is based on experience and
demonstrated abilityThis position requires use of information or
access to production processes subject to national security
controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including,
but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations
(ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be
qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be
a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply
evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be
authorized to receive controlled information under a specific
license or permission from the relevant government agency. The U.S.
