experienced CNC Machinist to join and grow in the PPG organization.
The CNC Machinist will set up and operate 3,4, and 5 axis CNC
machinery according to specifications. This role will be
responsible for performing precision machining processes and
maintaining tight tolerance thresholds.Highlights and

machine setups using a setup sheet or written work instructionLoad
and touch off tools both manually and using a tool setter
Prioritize work as appropriate for shop scheduleUtilize measuring
tools (micrometers, calipers, gage block/pin, etc.) to check /
inspect own workPerform on demand machine adjustments to ensure
machining and tolerance requirements are metIdentify and change
appropriate tools as neededRead and interpret blueprintsAdvanced
understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing Machine to
blueprint specifications and quality standardsMaintain clean and
organized workspaceFollow all internal quality standards as
instructedShare knowledge and ideas to improve cycle
timesCommunicate with team members regarding progress, schedule,
and quality Follow all safety guidelinesPerform other related
duties as assignedKnowledge, skills, and abilitiesHigh school
diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical training / schooling
preferred, but not requiredMinimum of 3 years' experience setting
up, adjusting, and operating CNC machineryAbility and willingness
to work under minimal supervision and maintain scheduleAbility to
perform basic to moderately difficult shop mathAbility to machine
to tight tolerance specificationsUnderstanding of industry quality
standards and requirements (FOD, Air worthiness, etc.)Willingness
to train less experienced staff as neededCompensationCompensation
for this role is based on experience and demonstrated abilityThis
position requires use of information or access to production
processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export
control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export
Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this
facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined
in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that
qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive
controlled information under a specific license or permission from
the relevant government agency. The U.S. export control regulations
define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S.
Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain
categories of Asylees and Refugees.
