You will perform and analyze quality control data and perform advanced invasive or noninvasive protocols. Opportunities will be provided to share educational in-services to staff, advanced practice nurses and physician assistants.A caregiver in this position works day shift Monday-Friday.A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Perform lung diagnostic testing and will coach patients to perform procedures to quality standards.
• Evaluate safety in walking patients (6 minute walk tests), obtain ABGs and indentify medical alert values.
• Be passionate with strong empathy skills.
• Prioritize multitasking in a face-paced environment.
• Work well in a collaborative, team-based setting.Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:
  • Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialing from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Minimum of 1 year direct patient care experiencePreferred qualifications include:
    • Certified and/or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT, RPFT) credentialing through the NBRC
    • Asthma Educator Specialist (AE-C) credentialing through the NBRC
    • 3+ years of critical care patient experience

      • Ability to administer six minute walk tests at a pace of at least 3.0 mph (average walking speed), ability to move K cylinders onto dollies, ability to change gas cylinder regulators with a wrench and ability to lift boxes up to 25 pounds in weight.
      • Ability to perform pulmonary function tests for demonstration purposes and for the collection of biological control data for QC purposes.Personal Protective Equipment:
